 How would you pitch to the biz to make your favorite book into a movie?

Step 3: Join the cult following that always seems to pop up whenever YA books are turned into movies. 
xD

For real though, I totally agree with Alison from Alison Can Read: no more book to movie adaptions (ESPECIALLY FOR YA!!), but if  it was to become a TV show, where the author is really involved in the making and the story isn't too far off from the books, then maybe.  But all these book to movie adaptations- I'm seriously not feeling it.  Off the top of my head, I think the last Hunger Games movie I watched (I think it was Catching Fire ??) was honestly the only YA book to movie adaption that I've loved in the recent years- which is ironic, since I didn't like the Hunger Games series LOL.  I'm also really weird  and picky when it comes to  book to movie adaptions.  If the movie's too true to the book, it seems... lackluster.  If they deviate from the book a lot (or little- it depends on the detail(s) they change xD), it makes me angry.  I don't think I can ever win with movie adaptations LOL. 

But that won't stop me from watching and hoping this next one is better. ;D

                         If you had a time machine, where would you go?

Ooo! Fun question :).  My answer to this question is always changing (each time I read a new historical fiction or time traveling novel lol), but for now, I would love to go back to the 90s :).  I'm not really a true 90s kid ( I was born in the late 90s ;) ), but I actually really love the 90s  clothing style xD.  They're pretty funky, but I think that style is cute. :D  Also, I love a lot of the Korean music from then (HOT! DBSK's my forever bias though ;) ), so I think it would be awesome to have a chance to see them in concert. :)

(The one above is the Korean version of Cinderella :) ).

Looking through this list makes me so nostalgic! I think I wanna go back and read all of them again ahaha (my mile long TBR list can wait ;) ).

Tell us about a book that you didn’t like and why we shouldn’t read it (as nicely and respectfully as possible).

My choice is Requiem. 
This series (among other things) had the same problem both the Hunger Games (Mockingjay) and the Divergent trilogy (Allegiant) had (at least in my view ^-^): not enough "stuff" (action, plot, etc) for a third novel.  It was stretched waaay too thin.  Not to mention the similar points of views (shout out to Allegiant) and a bad love triangle (shout out to Mockingjay).

This week's  question:

Late April Fools. What was the best prank you’ve played or had played on you? Share!

I was the victim. xD It was the classic jump out and scare the heebie jeebies out of someone. But it sort of backfired on my brother (the pranker).  xD 

 I get scared super easily. I can't watch horror movies or read any books that are remotely creepy or for the next few months I'll take 3 minute showers (get in, get soaped, get out.  Pfft so what if there are a few dried bubbles in my hair? It's better than being murdered by strange beings that like to haunt bathrooms 0.0 ).  So anyways~ that night, for some reason, I was thinking about this scary book I read back in like 4th grade (I kid you not; it was one of those scary stories to read in the dark or something like that.   Years later, I still remember them. *shudders*) , and I was the only one up- or so I thought.  I turned the corner, and there was my brother in this white clay mask (some creepy anime character), and I screamed.  Well, apparently my brother had either not expected me or had not expected me to scream that loud, and he screamed too.  I screamed right back, and he screamed again.  It was like a ping pong match of screams.  We woke up the entire household, and needless to say, my parents weren't impressed with one blubbering girl who thought she was going to die of fright and one screaming boy whose voice was able to reach record- setting heights. xD

Recommend some of your favorite back-list books-books that are at least a few years old (I'm thinking 5-10 years rather than classics)

Oooo!! I love this topic! Here are my picks!:)

1. Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.: (DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE BOOK. IN FACT JUST DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE AT ALL.  OMG IT WAS LIKE FORESHADOWING TO THE ERA OF THE PERCY JACKSON MOVIES. JUST DON'T! )  This book is one of my all time favs! I just love fairy-tale retellings! :)

2. Kissing Doorknobs by Terry Spencer Hesser:  So this one is 16 years old, but it's not a classic, so I guess it counts ^_^  It was a real eye opener to OCD, and it really encouraged me to think before I spoke.

3.Summers at Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn:  It was one of the first books that got me hooked onto high fantasy.  It's been a while since I've read this, but I remember it being somewhat soft and a bit nostalgic.

4. Everything on a Waffle by Polly Horvath: To be honest, I actually hated this book when I first read it because I was forced to read it for AR points (remember those??).   Since then, I have come to love this book (and am missing those AR tests! Now that I look back on them, they were just like book quizzes I do for fun on Goodreads!) and also have read it several times.  It's very heartwarming and sweet, and I do love those recipes! :)

5.  Midnight Rider by Joan Hiatt Harlow: I love this book to pieces! (Literally- my own copy is falling apart!;) ) I picked this up during my American Girl and Dear America phase, and I've been hooked onto this author's books (and historical fiction) every since!

This week's question:

 Change the Plot. If you could, what book would you change the ending or a plot thread? Go ahead and do it…change it.

Hmm... I have a few books in mind, but I'll go with Allegiant by Veronica Roth, just because I've read this fairly recently.

  Where to begin with this book? (LOL)

My main issue was that I felt there wasn't enough
"stuff" (plot-wise, action-wise) for a third book, let alone a third book as ginormous as Allegiant.  I would first off make it shorter and take out all the slow/talky bits.   No more just going from here to there or talking about this or that; people would start doing something and start doing that now instead of all at the end.   I would also make the book into one perspective, which would prevent *Tris's death*, but I REALLY didn't like the two perspective thing here.  (Tris and Four sounded EXACTLY the same.) Lastly, I would change the reason for making the four factions.  (That was really disappointing.)

wellll I don't quite have a llama face, but you get the idea xD

But it's to be expected (LOL).  My family/friends usually don't give me books or anything bookish related because they don't want to encourage "solitude," and they're always telling me how crying/muttering over fictional characters is not healthy..... PFFFFT! Passion I say! It's passion!

On the bright side, I got this really cool Polaroid  camera- which I will be using to take pictures of the books I do have! xD

(side note: I'm really not this weird.  Honest! I'm just like this when I'm meeting new people :D)
