Feature and Follow #6

Hi guys!
Kyendwarrior here:)

This is hosted by the awesome Parajunkee and fantastic Alison Can Read
:)
This week's question:

Tell us about a book that you didn’t like and why we shouldn’t read it (as nicely and respectfully as possible).

My choice is Requiem.
This series (among other things) had the same problem both the Hunger Games (Mockingjay) and the Divergent trilogy (Allegiant) had (at least in my view ^-^): not enough "stuff" (action, plot, etc) for a third novel.  It was stretched waaay too thin.  Not to mention the similar points of views (shout out to Allegiant) and a bad love triangle (shout out to Mockingjay).

What books were your picks?

I haven't read this series but I completely agree about Hunger Games and Divergent. I was quite upset at the end of both and should have just stopped after the second book. I followed via GFC

I actually haven't read this series yet. I have read Divergent and Hunger Games. Allegiant was just not what I wanted in an ending for that series.

Hopping through. Totally agree with both points on Mockingjay and Allegiant.

I don't like this 3 book formula many dystopias are adopting

Even though I didn't like the last book, I do recommend the first book.
Like with Divergent and Hunger Games, the first book (Delirium) was great, and then the series went into a downward spiral ;(

I haven't read this series either but I feel like a lot of series seem to fizz out towards the end and then the mistake is made to split it in two movies. I wonder how that is going to work out! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a good weekend!

I've never read Requiem or Divergent, but I understand with THG. As much as I love that series, I thought Mockingjay was pushing it.

I've never heard of this series. But I loved the last book in The Hunger Games, it was the second one I didn't care for all that much.

YES! I totally 100% agree! I think the 2 movie thing started with Harry Potter, but that last book was ginormous, and there was a lot of "meat" in it. But the 2 movie thing doesn't make much sense for Mockingjay.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
You too!:)
