Sidekick Showcase is a weekly meme hosted by the fantastic Jaclyn over at JC's Book Haven
:)
My sidekick for the week:
Ms. Sweeney from There You'll Find Me
So I was going back and forth between neuro-science crazy Erin (who watches documentaries on brains when she gets nervous) and cranky, tough-on-the-outside-but-soft-on-the-inside Ms. Sweeney. So this week I'm going with Ms. Sweeney and next week I'll go with Erin. :)
There You'll Find Me rivals the Percy Jackson series as one of my all time favorites. Ms. Jones writes with a lot of wit, humor, and heart. I feel like it's impossible to not love all the characters in this book from broken Finley to sah-woon worthy Beckett to mischievous Sister Maria.
Ms. Sweeney has gone through a lot in her life, and her story will pull at your heartstrings. I can't say a lot about her at the risk of spoilers, but no matter what other impression you get of her, she has a BIG heart. She's a woman who, much like Finley, is in need of healing, which makes her an unlikely perfect companion to Finley.
So what are your side kicks this week?:)

Now I have to read this book. I just checked with my library. They didn't have it. Time to get creative. I love those cranky, mushy on the inside characters. I haven't done my sidekick post yet. Still not sure who to go with. Happy New Year!!
Aren't those the best?:) I think you'll also love Sister Maria (she's very mischievous and witty).
Happy New Year and God bless!:)
I haven't heard of this book before, but these Sidekick Showcase posts are such a great way to find out about new ones :)
Happy New Year :)

I totally agree! :)
I definitely recommend this one! It's a great book full of heart, humor, and healing. (and a cute guy of course ;)
Thanks for stopping by!:)
Happy New Year and God bless!
Oh my goodness! Percy Jackson is one of my all time favorites as well so you've gotten my interest. I really enjoy those cranky characters that you also get to see that softer side to. It sounds like Ms. Sweeney has been through enough to give her reason to be cranky but I'm glad that she shows that kind heart in the story. Excellent choice! Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven.
Thank you!:)
I love your choice as well! I actually haven't read the Harry Potter series (just the first and last book lol), but I did watch a few of the movies, and she is pretty awesome. :)(Even though for me, Maggie Smith will always be the older version of Wendy lol.)
